  • Reopening of NIE Student Services Centre (SSC)

    In line with the latest COVID-19 precautionary measures, the NIE SSC has re-opened on 17 July 2020.

    Please note that we have implemented the Safe Management Measures, including a "one metre safe distancing" markings configuration. In view of this, we are limiting occupancy in the Centre to 4 people at a time.

    All students and visitors must wear a mask at all times, and kindly note that we have the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not wear a mask.

    The Student Services Centre (SSC) is conveniently located at NIE Administration Block 1 Level 1, within the Office of Academic Administration & Services (OAAS). SSC provides a one-stop service that caters to the administrative needs and general enquiries of students and alumni.

    Modes of payment at NIE Student Services Centre (SSC)

    In line with our nation’s initiative of going cashless, we regret that cash will not be accepted as a mode of payment for all transactions at SSC with effect from 15 Jan 2018.  Students can opt for any of the following cashless modes when making payment:

    1. NETS (You are required to make this payment at NIE's Student Services Centre)
    2. Cheque/Cashier’s Order
    3. Credit Card (Mastercard & VISA) (subject to a minimum payment of $30)
    4. NETS FlashPay Card (Student Card)
    5. Cash Card
    6. NETSPay app
    7. Bank app such as DBS Pay Lah!, OCBC Pay Anyone & UOB Mighty

    Successful Migration of ServiceNow to the NTU Instance - ServiceNow@NTU for NIE

    AY20/21 Jan 21 Semester's Fees for Higher Degree (all programmes) students (excluding Jan 2021 Intake).

    e-Invoice: AY2020/2021 Jan 2021 Semester's Fees would be available for viewing/payment at NIE Portal from 24 February 2021

    Please login to NIE Portal at Click on Financial >> e-Invoices to view your e-Invoices and the mode of payment applicable to you. 

    Please pay by 10 March 2021 to avoid late fee charge. 

    Extension of Operating Hours of NIE Student Services Centre (SSC) during Term Time

    In view of term time, SSC will resume operating the extended hour (5.30 - 6.30 pm) on Thursday every week from 15 August 2019. This will enable students who have classes at NIE in the evenings to complete their student transactions at SSC after work.

    The operating hours of NIE Student Services Centre (SSC) during term time will therefore be as follows:

    Monday -Wednesday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
    Thursday (starting from 15 Aug 2019)  9.00 am to 6.30 pm
     Friday  9.00 am to 4.30 pm

    In view of the current Covid-19 situation, please take note that the extended hours on Thursday starting April 2020 will be suspended till further notice. 

    The operating hours for Thursday will be from 9 am to 5 pm

    NIE Student Services Centre (SSC) Goes Paperless

    With effect from 17 Nov 2017, NIE Student Services Centre (SSC) shall only provide e-receipts for all payment services rendered at SSC. The e-receipt will be sent to the payer’s email account.

    This is a small but important step in our efforts to improve processes and strengthen our administrative services. Not only do we save on on paper and related costs, we will also SAVE PAPER, SAVE TREES, SAVE THE WORLD

    • Self-Service Corner

      Print@NIE located at NIE Library and Student Hub at Block 3B, Level 1, provides printing and photocopying services. 

      At Student Hub, there are 3 PCs and 5 printers (with photocopying and or printing functionalities inclusive of 2 with colour print-out) at the Self-Service Corner.

      Students may refer to the self-help guide on the wall or contact the helpline displayed on every machine at the Self-Service Corner. 

      Print@NIE provides several features. These include:

      • Cloud-based printing via email-to-print and web-to-print
      • Improved printing security
      • Multifunctional printers for printing and photocopying
      • Flexible payment modes using Pharos account or CEPAS compliant cards
      • Easy management of personal printing accounts via web browsers
        Users can send print jobs via a web browser or email and collect the printouts from any printer located at the Library or Student Hub.

      Students can enjoy the ease of transaction by registering and using their student card or any CEPAS compliant card (eg. EZ-link card) as digital payment wallet. They can also manage their account balances and transactions on the Print@NIE portal.
